Fulton National Bank of Atlanta, Luckie Street Office (c. 1951)
Similar to other small or modest banks and branches designed by the Bank Building & Equipment Corporation, traditional brick materials placed in new arrangements, along with large windows and a flat roof gave the Luckie Street Office a strikingly modern appearance. And as with most designs promoted by the corporation, it was distinctive while being affordable. These characteristics of success are highly likely why Fulton National Bank hired Bank Building & Equipment Corporation to design at least one other regional bank branch.
