Automobile Club of St. Louis (AAA Building; 1977)
Located at 3817 Lindell Boulevard, this is one of two round, white building on the street. Both were designed by W.A. Sarmiento. As early as 1942, this location was home to the Automobile Club. When it was constructed in 1977, it became the home of AAA Building of St. Louis and they have been good stewards. The building is an icon of St. Louis architecture. In 2012, the building was threatened with demolition to make way for a CVS Pharmacy building. That threat was turned back when the building was locally landmarked and CVS moved their proposal to one side of the property in order to allow the AAA Building to remain.
